600 Amp Service Install Powers 8 EV Chargers in One Week

600 amps. 8 EV chargers. One week to get it done. That's what this job required, and that's exactly what we delivered. Jobs like this don't leave a lot of room for error - the timeline was tight, the scope was big, and the client needed it done right the first time.

Here's what was involved. We trenched the entire parking lot run to get conduit in the ground - multiple runs, properly spaced, all the way down the line of charger pedestals. You can see the scope of the dig here. Getting underground work right from the start is what makes everything above ground actually function the way it's supposed to. Skip steps down there and you're going to have problems later.

From there, we built out the panel setup to handle the full load. A 600 amp service at that scale means the wiring, terminations, and breaker configuration all have to be dialed in. Everything feeding those 8 charger stations has to be balanced and protected correctly - this is where experience in commercial electrical work really matters. There's no guessing at this level.

The charger pedestals went in across the lot once the underground was buttoned up. Getting that many units installed, wired, and operational within a one-week window takes real coordination. We kept it moving even when the weather didn't cooperate - you do what you have to do to hold a deadline.
